This 18th-century mansion is located in the village of Hora, a UNESCO protected heritage site. It is in the second row of Chora houses, enjoying view of the port, the Monastery, and the windmills.
The house is spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated with traditional antiques and modern furniture.
The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, a large living room/ dining area with working fireplace and a bathroom with a walk in shower.
Just off the living room there is a traditional bedroom with 2 built in single beds.
Out in the private courtyard, there is a large dining table that seats 12 guests.
The upper floor, has a unique 12 steps access through the kitchen, that incorporates the interior and exterior of the house in a dramatic setting. The access to the upper floor rooms leads first through a small balcony, ideal for morning coffee or afternoon drinks, enjoying the amazing views of the Monastery, Skala (the port) and the neighboring islands.
The Master bedroom has a large living room with ceiling fans and working fireplace. The double bed is on a loft. There is a single bed under the loft, which is perfect for a younger child. There is an ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and closet.
The second bedroom ( Bridge room) is built on an arch, with the street passing under it. The bridge room has 2 single beds which can be joined together to a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. The two bedrooms are separated by a walkway, thus ensuring complete privacy.
The main square with restaurants, cafes, and boutiques is a 5-minute walk, the Monastery a 6-minute walk.
Free parking is available near the windmills (300 meters from the house)
There is a small supermarket/ produce store in Hora that delivers to the house.
Housekeeping is provided every second day and change of sheets/towels twice a week.
